Cascaide® Combination Emergency Shower and Eyewash, 20 GPM, ABS Showerhead and Stainless Steel Bowl

At a glance

Encon’s Combination Emergency Shower and Eyewash Equipment provides the user with both a full body penetration as well as a localized orbital area coverage in one station. They feature self-regulating, fully dispersed, flow patterns from the eyewash, facewash, and shower heads. Encon’s unique design also ensures that the flow of fluids is non-injurious; covering body and facial regions while utilizing varying hydraulic pressures from the water supply source.

Product Description

Cascaide® Combination Emergency Shower & Eyewash Station – CC1261

The Cascaide® CC1261 is a commercial-grade combination emergency shower and eyewash station built for free-standing, floor-mounted installation in industrial and commercial hazard areas. Self-adjusting regulation at both outlets supports ANSI Z358.1 certified performance while maintaining a controlled, non-injurious flushing stream, and the Type 304 Stainless Steel bowl adds durability at the eyewash point of use.

Highlights

  • Integrated drench shower and dedicated eyewash in one fixed station
  • ANSI Z358.1 certified combination shower/eyewash performance
  • Self-adjusting regulators for stable, non-injurious flow patterns
  • Free-standing configuration with flanged floor mounting plate
  • Hot dip galvanized Schedule 40 piping with SST valves and a Type 304 Stainless Steel bowl

Built for commercial and industrial environments

Emergency response equipment is typically specified as permanent infrastructure in areas where corrosives, caustics, and other hazardous materials are handled, transferred, or stored. The CC1261 provides a standardized combination safety shower and eyewash format to support EHS specifications, installation planning, and site-to-site consistency.

Common applications include:

  • Chemical processing and batching areas
  • Plating, finishing, and washdown operations
  • Battery charging rooms and energy storage support spaces
  • Fabrication, machining, and metalworking bays
  • Pilot plants, QC labs, and controlled process rooms
  • Wastewater treatment, utility rooms, and maintenance corridors

One station. Two critical emergency functions.

A combination unit is specified when the hazard assessment requires:

  • Whole-body drenching to rinse contaminants from skin and clothing, and
  • On-demand eyewash flushing for localized eye exposure incidents

The CC1261 uses a self-adjusting regulated showerhead and dual eyewash regulators to deliver the specified spray and eyewash streams across typical facility supply pressures.

ANSI Z358.1 performance + ANSI certification

The Cascaide® CC1261 is specified as an ANSI Z358.1 certified combination emergency shower and eyewash station and is identified as ANSI certified in the manufacturer documentation. The performance specification also excludes designs that produce improper flow patterns or that rely on screens or filters that can deteriorate over time, supporting consistent inspection outcomes.

Designed for the required emergency duration

With proper installation and adequate water supply, the CC1261 is designed to sustain continuous, non-injurious flushing flow for 15 minutes or longer.

Construction and performance details

  • Shower flow rate: 20 gpm (75.71 L/min) @ 30-70 psi (206.84-482.63 kPa) via self-adjusting regulation
  • Eyewash flow rate: 2.40 gpm (9.08 L/min) total @ 30-70 psi via two 1.20 gpm (4.54 L/min) regulators
  • Shower head: Yellow ABS plastic showerhead with UV-resistant material, delivering a minimum 20″ (50.80 cm) diameter pattern at 60″ (152.40 cm) above standing level
  • Eyewash heads: Yellow acetal dual-stream heads with integral hinged covers on a chrome-plated brass wye assembly
  • Bowl: Type 304 Stainless Steel bowl positioned beneath the eyewash heads with drain opening
  • Piping: Schedule 40 hot dip galvanized steel
  • Valves: SST single-motion activation, stay-open ball valves with SST balls and stems (1″ shower, 1/2″ eyewash)
  • Activation: SST pull rod assembly (shower) and SST push plate with actuation graphic (eyewash)
  • Mounting: Free-standing with flanged floor mounting plate
  • Supply connection: 1″ NPT (installer-selected location at top, mid-point, or bottom near the eyewash)
  • Waste connection: 1″ NPT
