Cascaide® Combination Emergency Shower and Eyewash, 20 GPM, Stainless Steel Showerhead and Bowl

At a glance

Encon’s Combination Emergency Shower and Eyewash Equipment provides the user with both a full body penetration as well as a localized orbital area coverage in one station. They feature self-regulating, fully dispersed, flow patterns from the eyewash, facewash, and shower heads. Encon’s unique design also ensures that the flow of fluids is non-injurious; covering body and facial regions while utilizing varying hydraulic pressures from the water supply source.

Product Description

Cascaide® Combination Emergency Shower & Eyewash Station – CC3261

The Cascaide® CC3261 is a commercial-grade combination emergency shower and eyewash station specified for free-standing, floor-mounted installation. The unit pairs a self-adjusting regulated showerhead and regulated eyewash assembly with galvanized Schedule 40 piping and SST operating components to support ANSI Z358.1 certified emergency flushing.

Highlights

  • Plumbed combination station with drench shower and dedicated eyewash
  • ANSI Z358.1 certified performance with documented ANSI certification
  • Self-adjusting regulation for non-injurious discharge at both outlets
  • 304 Stainless Steel showerhead and 304 Stainless Steel eyewash bowl
  • Free-standing configuration with flanged floor mounting plate
  • Specification excludes units with improper patterns or deteriorating screens or filters

Built for commercial and industrial environments

Facilities that handle process chemicals, solvents, or corrosives often require a permanent emergency response point that operates consistently with minimal user input. The CC3261 is configured as a fixed-installation combination shower/eyewash station (ESEW) to support standardized placement, routine inspection, and repeatable activation.

Common applications include:

  • Chemical transfer and dispensing locations
  • Surface preparation, washdown, and parts cleaning areas
  • Manufacturing lines with splash or spray exposure potential
  • Maintenance shops, mechanical rooms, and utility corridors
  • Laboratory support spaces and pilot process rooms
  • Storage or staging zones identified by the site hazard assessment

One station. Two critical emergency functions.

Specify a combination unit when exposure scenarios include both of the following response needs:

  • Full-body drenching to flush contaminants from skin and clothing, and
  • Eyewash flushing for immediate response to eye exposure incidents

Self-adjusting regulators are used at the shower and eyewash outlets to maintain the specified flows across typical supply pressures while keeping the streams non-injurious for emergency use.

ANSI Z358.1 performance + ANSI certification

The CC3261 is specified as ANSI Z358.1 certified for combination shower and eyewash performance, including regulated discharge rates at 30-70 psi flowing pressure. Manufacturer documentation identifies this model as ANSI certified, supporting record retention for inspections and site standardization.

Designed for the required emergency duration

When installed to an adequate water source, the CC3261 is specified to provide a continuous, non-injurious flushing stream for 15 minutes or longer.

Construction and performance details

  • Shower flow rate: 20 gpm (75.71 L/min) @ 30-70 psi (206.84-482.63 kPa) flowing pressure via self-adjusting regulation
  • Eyewash flow rate: 2.40 gpm (9.08 L/min) total @ 30-70 psi flowing pressure via two 1.20 gpm (4.54 L/min) regulators
  • Shower head: 304 Stainless Steel showerhead delivering a minimum 20″ (50.80 cm) diameter pattern to the target area 60″ (152.40 cm) above standing level
  • Eyewash heads: Solvent-resistant yellow acetal dual-stream heads with integral hinged covers on a chrome-plated brass wye assembly
  • Bowl: Type 304 Stainless Steel bowl positioned below the eyewash heads and above the drain opening
  • Piping: Schedule 40 hot dip galvanized steel
  • Valves: SST stay-open ball valves with SST balls and stems (1″ shower, 1/2″ eyewash)
  • Activation: SST pull rod assembly (shower) and SST push plate with actuation graphic (eyewash)
  • Mounting: Free-standing with flanged floor mounting plate
  • Supply connection: 1″ NPT; location determined by installer (top, mid-point, or bottom near the eyewash)
  • Waste connection: 1″ NPT
