Cascaide® Combination Emergency Shower and Eyewash, 30 GPM, Stainless Steel Showerhead and Bowl

At a glance

Encon’s Combination Emergency Shower and Eyewash Equipment provides the user with both a full body penetration as well as a localized orbital area coverage in one station. They feature self-regulating, fully dispersed, flow patterns from the eyewash, facewash, and shower heads. Encon’s unique design also ensures that the flow of fluids is non-injurious; covering body and facial regions while utilizing varying hydraulic pressures from the water supply source.

Product Description

Cascaide® Combination Emergency Shower & Eyewash Station – CC4261

The Cascaide® CC4261 is a commercial-grade combination emergency shower and eyewash station for free-standing, floor-mounted installation. A self-adjusting regulated 30 gpm shower outlet and a regulated 2.40 gpm eyewash assembly support ANSI Z358.1 certified emergency flushing across typical facility supply pressures.

Highlights

  • Regulated combination station with 30 gpm shower and 2.40 gpm eyewash performance
  • ANSI Z358.1 certified emergency shower/eyewash configuration
  • Self-adjusting regulators maintain controlled, non-injurious discharge
  • Type 304 Stainless Steel showerhead and Type 304 Stainless Steel eyewash bowl
  • Schedule 40 hot dip galvanized piping with SST valves and a flanged floor mounting plate

Built for commercial and industrial environments

Plumbed emergency equipment is specified where workers may be exposed to corrosives, solvents, or process chemicals that require immediate flushing. The CC4261 provides a fixed-geometry combination safety shower and eyewash station that supports consistent activation, predictable flow performance, and straightforward inspection documentation.

Common installation areas include:

  • Bulk chemical transfer points and drum dispensing stations
  • Plating, finishing, and parts washing lines
  • Battery charging rooms and maintenance bays
  • Pilot plants, QA/QC labs, and chemical storage rooms
  • Process utility corridors and industrial maintenance shops
  • Manufacturing cells where splash exposure is identified by the site hazard assessment

One station. Two critical emergency functions.

Combination equipment is specified when the hazard assessment requires both of the following:

  • Whole-body drenching to flush contaminants from skin and clothing, and
  • Eyewash flushing to support immediate response to eye exposure incidents

The CC4261 uses self-adjusting regulation at the showerhead and eyewash outlets to maintain the specified discharge rates while keeping the spray and streams non-injurious for emergency use.

ANSI Z358.1 performance + ANSI certification

The Cascaide® CC4261 is specified as an ANSI Z358.1 certified combination shower and eyewash station (ESEW) and is identified as ANSI certified in the manufacturer documentation. The specification also excludes units that produce improper flow patterns or that use screens or filters that can deteriorate over time.

Designed for the required emergency duration

Upon installation and with adequate water supply, the CC4261 is specified to provide a continuous, non-injurious stream of water for 15 minutes or longer.

Construction and performance details

  • Shower flow rate: 30 gpm (113.56 L/min) @ 30-70 psi (206.84-482.63 kPa) flowing pressure from a self-adjusting regulated showerhead
  • Eyewash flow rate: 2.40 gpm (9.08 L/min) total @ 30-70 psi flowing pressure from a self-adjusting regulated eyewash (two 1.20 gpm regulators)
  • Shower head: Type 304 Stainless Steel showerhead delivering a minimum 20″ diameter pattern to the target area 60″ above standing level
  • Eyewash heads: Solvent-resistant yellow acetal dual-stream heads with integral hinged covers on a chrome-plated brass wye
  • Bowl: Type 304 Stainless Steel bowl positioned below the eyewash heads and above the drain opening
  • Piping: Schedule 40 hot dip galvanized steel
  • Valves: SST single-motion activation, stay-open ball valves with SST balls and stems (1″ shower, 1/2″ eyewash)
  • Activation: SST pull rod assembly (shower) and SST push plate with actuation graphic (eyewash)
  • Mounting: Free-standing with flanged floor mounting plate
  • Supply connection: 1″ NPT (location determined by installer: top, mid-point, or bottom near the eyewash)
  • Waste connection: 1″ NPT
