Product Description

Cascaide® Floor Mounted Emergency Shower – CC1001

For exposure areas where immediate whole-body flushing is required, a dedicated emergency shower must deliver a reliable spray pattern and a consistent discharge rate with simple, single-motion activation. The Cascaide® CC1001 is a free-standing, floor mounted emergency shower specified for permanent, plumbed installation and third party certified to ANSI Z358.1 performance requirements.

Highlights

  • Free-standing, floor mounted emergency shower for full-body drenching response
  • Third party certified to ANSI Z358.1
  • Regulated shower output: 30 gpm (113.56 lpm) @ 30/70 psi (206.84/482.63 kPa) flowing pressure
  • Self-adjusting regulator helps maintain a constant flow and pattern under varying hydraulic conditions
  • High visibility yellow UV resistant ABS showerhead
  • Schedule 40 hot dip galvanized piping with a flanged floor mounting plate for free-standing installation

Free-standing floor mounted configuration

Floor mounted emergency showers are commonly specified where a fixed, permanent emergency response point is required and installation planning benefits from a free-standing format. The CC1001 includes a flanged floor mounting plate and Schedule 40 hot dip galvanized piping to support consistent installation geometry and straightforward inspection for EHS and facility teams.

Typical installation locations include:

  • Chemical processing and material handling areas
  • Production lines with splash exposure potential
  • Maintenance shops, washdown areas, and utility spaces
  • Battery service and charging locations
  • Transfer points and dispensing stations identified by the hazard assessment

ANSI Z358.1 certified emergency shower performance

Third party certified to ANSI Z358.1, the CC1001 is specified to deliver a non-injurious stream of water for 15 minutes or longer when installed and supplied as required. The showerhead includes a self-adjusting 30 gpm regulator designed to help assure a consistent flow and spray pattern at 30/70 psi (206.84/482.63 kPa) flowing pressure.

Controlled spray pattern with regulated 30 gpm discharge

The shower head must deliver a minimum 20” (50.80 cm) diameter pattern to the target area 60” (152.40 cm) above standing level. Shower units that provide improper flow pattern are not acceptable.
