For areas where plumbed potable water is not available, Encon’s 15 minute supply self-contained and portable eyewash stations meet ANSI Z358.1 requirements for eyewash. Encon offers several choices for self-contained eyewash stations including pressurized, gravity fed, and sealed-cartridge portables.
Self-contained pressurized eyewash with insulated jacket solutions are ideal for facilities and work areas where plumbed potable water is not readily available and added thermal protection is important. Encon’s 37 Gallon Pressurized Portable Eyewash with Drench Hose and Insulated Jacket provides dependable emergency flushing capability in a self-contained design with a large ASME-rated vessel, dual-stream eyewash, integrated drench hose, and a highly visible heat-reflective jacket to help maintain stored fluid temperature.
This portable pressurized eyewash is designed to deliver a non-injurious dual stream of water at 0.4 gpm (1.5 lpm) for 15 minutes or longer. The integrated drench hose provides additional spot-drenching capability at 4.0 gpm (15.1 lpm). The insulated jacket helps reduce heat transfer to the stored fluid, making this configuration a practical choice for remote work areas, temporary job sites, maintenance locations, warehouses, and other environments without plumbed potable water.
Stainless steel ASME-rated vessel with 37-gallon capacity. The unit is designed to supply 30 gallons of usable water for emergency eyewash performance in locations where plumbed potable water is not available.
Piping: 1/2″ chrome-plated brass
Eyewash valve: 1/2″ chrome-plated bronze stay-open ball valve with chrome-plated ball, stainless steel valve stem, and stainless steel push plate with actuation graphic
Drench hose valve: 3/8″ chrome-plated bronze self-closing squeeze valve with lock-open handle actuator
ABS plastic dual-stream eyewash heads with ABS plastic pop-off covers secured by stainless steel bead chains. A self-adjusting 0.4 gpm (1.5 lpm) regulator helps provide constant, even flow through the eyewash heads. Covers help inhibit dust and contamination when the unit is not in use.
The integrated drench hose provides spot-drenching capability through an 8-foot hose and UV-resistant ABS plastic single spray head. The drench hose assembly includes a self-adjusting 4.0 gpm (15.1 lpm) regulator to help assure constant, even flow. An ABS float-off cover is supplied and secured with a stainless steel bead chain.
The highly visible insulated jacket features an aluminum-coated fiberglass cover designed to help impair heat transfer and support stored fluid temperature maintenance. Sewn-in insulation assists in heat-transfer resistance for added protection in demanding environments.
This self-contained pressurized eyewash with insulated jacket is third-party certified to ANSI Z358.1 and is designed to deliver a non-injurious dual stream of water at 0.4 gpm (1.5 lpm) for 15 minutes or longer. The drench hose provides additional 4.0 gpm (15.1 lpm) spot-drenching performance where needed.
A relief valve is included to help prevent over-pressurization. A custom-faced gauge provides a visual indication of internal tank pressure status to assist with inspection and readiness checks.
Two 8 oz bottles of Hydrosep® are supplied with each unit. Together they treat 10 to 40 gallons of potable water. Follow Hydrosep® directions for filling, cleaning, and maintenance intervals. For replacement or routine maintenance, see Hydrosep® 8 oz bottles (pack of 4).
The eyewash is supplied with a single-motion, stay-open push plate activated ball valve for quick emergency use. The drench hose is operated by a self-closing squeeze valve with lock-open handle. Highly visible graphics on the push plate indicate activation method, and maintenance and operation information is visibly displayed on the vessel side.
This 37 gallon pressurized portable eyewash with insulated jacket is well suited for remote facilities, temporary work zones, warehouses, outdoor service areas, maintenance operations, and other locations where emergency eyewash capability is needed but plumbed potable water is not available. The insulated jacket helps support stored fluid temperature maintenance, while the integrated drench hose adds flexibility for spot-drenching applications.
