Product Description

Self-contained pressurized portable eyewash with drench hose solutions are ideal for facilities and work areas where plumbed potable water is not readily available and mobility is important. Encon’s Pressurized Self-Contained Portable Eyewash with Drench Hose provides dependable emergency flushing capability in a compact, self-contained design that is easy to relocate as needed.

This portable pressurized eyewash is third-party certified to ANSI Z358.1 and is designed to deliver a non-injurious dual stream of water at 0.4 gpm (1.5 lpm) for 15 minutes or longer. The unit uses a 13.5-gallon stainless steel vessel and supplies a minimum of six gallons of usable water for emergency eyewash performance.

Vessel

Type 304 stainless steel vessel with 13.5-gallon capacity and carrying handles to help accommodate eyewash relocation. The vessel is designed to supply a minimum of six gallons of usable water for emergency eyewash use.

Eyewash

UV-resistant ABS plastic dual-stream eyewash heads and wye with ABS plastic pop-off covers secured by stainless steel bead chains. A self-adjusting 0.4 gpm (1.5 lpm) regulator helps assure constant, even flow through the eyewash heads while the covers help inhibit dust and contamination when the unit is not in use.

Drench Hose

The included drench hose provides spot-drenching capability through a solvent-resistant delrin single spray head. The assembly includes a 1/4″ x 8′ nylon recoil hose with an overall length of 120″ and a self-adjusting 0.4 gpm (1.5 lpm) regulator to help assure constant, even flow.

Performance

This self-contained pressurized portable eyewash with drench hose is designed to deliver a non-injurious dual stream of water at 0.4 gpm (1.5 lpm) for 15 minutes or longer. The drench hose also uses a self-adjusting 0.4 gpm (1.5 lpm) regulator for controlled spot-drenching performance.

Relief Valve & Gauge

A relief valve is included to help prevent over-pressurization. A custom-faced gauge provides a visual indication of internal tank pressure status to assist with inspection and readiness checks.

Water Treatment Additive

One 8 oz bottle of Hydrosep® is shipped with each unit. It treats 5 to 20 gallons of potable water for up to 120 days. For replacement or routine maintenance, see Hydrosep® 8 oz bottles (pack of 4).

Activation & Use

The eyewash is activated by a single-motion stay-open push plate. Highly visible graphics on the push plate indicate the activation method, while maintenance and operating information is visibly displayed on the vessel side.

Applications

This 13.5-gallon pressurized portable eyewash with drench hose is well suited for remote work areas, temporary job sites, maintenance locations, warehouses, and other environments where emergency eyewash capability is required but plumbed potable water is not available.
