The Encon Swing Away® Counter-Top Eyewash (01040127) is a laboratory eyewash station that mounts at the side of a sink and swings into the basin for emergency flushing. This 12.5" radius configuration is built for countertop layouts that need more reach to position the spray pattern over the sink while keeping the unit stowed out of the basin during normal lab work. The Encon spec sheet states third-party certification to ANSI Z358.1 and a 2.4 gpm (9.1 lpm) eyewash flow specification at 30–70 psi flowing pressure.
Highlights
The primary difference is the arm length (radius). Model 01040127 is the 12.5" (31.75 cm) configuration for layouts that need additional reach to position the eyewash over the sink.
Encon’s IOM describes activation by rotating the eyewash heads 90° over the sink. This opens the valve and starts flow. Rotate back to return to the OFF position.
The Encon spec sheet lists 2.4 gpm (9.1 lpm) at 30–70 psi flowing pressure, using self-adjusting regulators.
Yes. The Encon spec sheet indicates right-hand supply as provided and notes left-hand mounting by reversing the swing stop. The IOM provides steps to change the valve orientation for left-hand configuration.
Encon states plumbed units should be activated weekly to flush lines and verify the flow pattern and volume, and that test records should be maintained.
